Are We Happy When We Choose To Be Happy?

Today is the Day! Exactly perfect Friday night when i don't want to go out, don't want to be around many people, I just want to take a moment, plan loads of upcoming things, do something to get closer to my big 2017-goal (it's really big, seriously).
So, I sometimes start writing something, and then I feel like it's not good time and place in my life to post it - because I don't really mean it at that exact moment. And I save drafts, little untold stories... Here's a good one. This one below I wrote some long long time ago, when I just moved to Cracow and I had this romantic mood, thinking of how things will be, dreaming a little bit.
And guess what? It actually happened! Every single word I wrote down, sitting in the kitchen of dormitory - it indeed happened to me! Well, not in details, because I wrote more about general things, but still!
And you know what - it gave me a lot to thinking. Before you reed the story below (if you are not yet bored to death :) - think of this first. My last two years really sucked. Some cool things happened (even a lot), but I was never never really happy. Because I had so many thoughts in my head, I cared so much, I expected the worst. And I never understood, that I actually dragged everything bad around me, like a magnet, just using my thoughts. I don't know what happened, but just recently it has changed! I stopped looking for bad in all good and guess what? Yeah, January 2017 has been one of greatest times of my life for last ages! So many nice things happened and I truly appreciated them. Bad things happened too! Some people, for example, acted not like I expected - so what? I just got this amazing thing lately - it simply means they were wrong people for me :) Work was not easy - but I handled one project, and I'm satisfied with results. There was serious illness in my family, which literally knocked me down - but eventually things got much much better! And so, I'm happy. I'm happy not because of anything, I'm happy, because I am! And nothing gonna change it :) Because this is something inside me. This is something inside YOU :)

And last, but not the least - below post is very up-to-date, because it represents what I've gone through in Cracow. And I have a decent feeling, like this chapter of my life is moving towards it's end... We'll see :)

P.S. Devoted to Everyone Whom I Met During Last 4 Years :) Written in 2013...

There is going to be a lot of things - success, love and adventures. And then will come pain too, it will maybe make you crazy, you gonna cry and shout and be really really in despair. And after you gonna laugh a lot too. You will be happy in some moments. No matter where, no matter why. And you gonna be very unhappy too.You gonna succeed in many things. You will have a chance to meet a lot of beautiful people - but you will not be able to love often - and no, you don't meet soulmates on request! Maybe it will happen only once. And after maybe you'll love again. In a different way, as each kind of love is different! And you will have true friends - those who'll be around no matter the time and no matter the distance. You will have a lot of adventures, lots of good and bad dates, you will discover a lot of places.
And you will learn that it's possible to be unhappy at the most posh party in Italy or at the great restaurant in Paris. And on the contrary - you'll be unbelievably happy at the train station.
You will learn, that parents grow older and this is something you can't change. You will learn - you grow older too.
You will see, that you can't change the way you feel for some people. And you will see, you can learn how to accept new strangers in your life - and that it is not so bad.
There will be moments, when you get into the center of attention and moments when you're left totally alone - and both periods are worth going through.
You will be loved. People will come to your life, will bring emotions, will teach you. And you will do the same.
It will be hard, it will be fun, it will be truly amazing life! And you must (you must) appreciate each of those moments - no matter if they hurt you or made you fly - because all of them are unique and will never, never repeat in the same way. If you are afraid of something - don't be, always DO when in doubt, because it's always better to regret doing something than not-doing it. If you feel shit - that's ok, it will pass. If you feel too good to be true - remember, it is going to change as well.
And when you don't know where life is taking you right now - relax, you gonna love it!

Energy From Within... Or French Breakfasts Are The Best

“I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.”
― Jack London

When you think of a human being from a physical point of view – we are just a bunch of atoms. And then, what is an atom? Piece of matter. And when these pieces of energy collide - there is a splash of energy, which appears in some magical way. Same with people. We collide and create energy.

It’s a beautiful Saturday morning, I decided to be a little like Carrie Bradshow today, so I woke up at 8, quickly packed my laptop to my bag and now, here I am, sitting at Charlotte, eating delicious french breakfast and  watching people collide. It’s just amazing to think that everything around me is just a sum of atoms, simple as it is – flows of energy, which interact in all possible ways. It’s crazy, if you think about it and try to understand... How does this work?
And yes, I’m sitting here all alone. And no, I don’t feel lonely. And yes, I love spending time on my own – thinking, observing, learning something new. My life taught me, that this can be pretty cool. It’s such a rush around, everyone’s talking, laughing, nice music playing (as always in Charlotte) and I’m writing this post and inside I’m smiling – because I feel just right. Like everything around me is not happening for real. Strange feeling, anyways.
Being alone from time to time - is kind of experience you can’t replace with anything on Earth. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I’m super social person, I can talk hours and hours, I love meeting new people and being with my friends. But there are just days and moments, when I need time for myself.
Coming back to atoms – I still can’t fully get it.How do emotions work? How does love work? I regret not learning physics at school, it could explain a lot now...
Love, anger, happiness - are all those things simple result of atoms interactions? I always thought that emotions are not connected with logic. But what if it's a simple combination of laws of physics, chemistry and math rules? We meet somebody - our minds and bodies create energy, it comes from within and crushes into this stranger. There can be chemical reaction, There may be not... But if there is - we change, and never come back to previous state of mind. Then, according to probability theory there are millions of ways what can happen. One of them says "they lived happily ever after", but the chances are not that high. And it's not destiny, not some extra power - that's just math. If you try adding some logic, chances go even closer to zero...
Same with work. Same with all you love to do, your passions - you create energy and invest it, hoping it'll pay off. Hoping everything will work out. Dreaming. Giving more than receiving.
And all together this makes our life. Math, physics, love, passion... Again passion, work, energy. And all over again. This is what life is about. And it is complicated (at least for me).

Apart from this - it was a really nice October day! And with all the work and routine I completely forgot to look around and appreciate the city I live in. The moments I have to experience. To share with others and with myself. Krakow is beautiful and... full of energy :)

Everything Works Out In The End

Do You have that kind of dream?.. You know it's not right, not possible, not in this lifetime... But you still believe in it... If yes - You are not alone :) At least there are two of us. And the most pleasant thing about this "dream" - it's totally secret, no one in the whole world knows about it. You just carry it inside (hm, that feeling is kind of bittersweet)... This is never, never gonna happen - life turned too many times, leaving no chances at all. So yes, it's even a little bit sad.
But it's a very nice and useful dream! I'm happy to have it. In the hardest moments of my life or at the times when I don't know if I should stop, go back or move forward - it's because of this dream - I move and I move in the right direction! And maybe I even cried a hundred times, because I can't always have what I want (and I always want to have what I want ha-ha)... So, yeah, even if I cry - it doesn't matter - because it is still my motivation number one, my secret power to handle a lot of things!
If I ever told my friends about it - they would say it's very very wrong. So what? I believe there is Right type of Wrong! But still, some things are better left untold! Actually...most of the things are better left untold :)
Another spring has come. 25th in my life... I can't really believe it! So many things has gone, so many are over, and so much yet to come! What does tomorrow bring? I don't know and I don't want to, life is generous with surprises and thanks for that! I have my secret dream that will never come true and hundred of plans, which will work out for sure! What else can a girl dream about?..

For Those, Who Are 20-Something

For Those, Who Are 20-Something

Being at the age of twenty-something is, probably, the very best and extremely short moment. This is why it needs to be used. This is the time when: 1) you're old enough to be able to make your dreams real and 2) you're not too old to realize some things will never happen.
This is the time for biggest ups and downs ever, the time when most important life lessons and learned. Well, great time, no doubts.
So what about the dreams? Today I had a walk with a friend of mine - we were coming back from work and each of us had some small business to do downtown, so we were running near the Opera House and we saw a guy (standing in a gloomy Krakow street, it almost rained and was for sure not-not nice), he was approaching random people in the street, trying to sell something. I personally hate this thing (when anybody wants to sell/ask/give me smth this way) and I behave quite indifferent (not to say rude hehe). We passed him, and Viki told, that this guy is selling his own book and that he can be found at that place quite often and just does marketing this way.
Well, this may look stupid from first sight, isn't it? I mean, what is the point? What is the chance, that he'd earn real money, doing this? I don't think it makes sense.
But what if one day, standing like this, looking ridiculous, he'd meet a strange guy - a director, looking for an unusual scenario for a film, or a weird owner of a huge bookstore? What if this director is looking for a story with a strange author's background? What if he signs a contract for next book? Or a film, based on his writing? Can be, this actually CAN happen.
Maybe this funny guy doesn't have such ambitions (or maybe he has), maybe he just wants to sell two books to someone, who'd feel sorry for him, but at the same time - big things can come.
We talked about it for a while, then we forgot. But I keep thinking about it.
How many people I know with talents, with huge potential, with the ability to do something nice, useful, interesting, something-to-make-them-happy. But they don't really do it. Why? Not because they are lazy. Because they don't believe that trying - is already a first step. They gather all the good ideas in a big black box (called "lost hopes") and put it on the top shelf in the wardrobe, so nobody could get it). When they grow old, they will take it out and look at all those things with a regret, and that will be already a very very sad story.
Pffff, how many times we'll have to fail before we make it? A lot! How many times someone will laugh, because we tried and failed? A lot! To say I don't care - would be a lie. I care. Everyone cares when fails because it seems like the end of the World. It feels like "I will never be fine again and so on, and so on". Personally when I fail (in anything and it happens not so rarely) - I see my whole life being ruined like a house of cards, every detail in life sucks, no way out, I can continue the list, but I will better stop.
Of course things move on, and next day brings new people, new chances and life doesn't stop at all.
But I still think of this man, selling his book and I start wondering - what is it about? Maybe I'll go and buy it next time :)
Coming back to inspirations and to the fact, that everyone should do something (!), just a few photos from last weekend in Forum Przestrzenie at a festival of retro staff Kogel Mogel. Just an example of people doing something they like :)

It's All About The Attitude

І Voi La!
Love what You do, do what You love! Love what They do, do what They love!
TARGI ZAPROJEKTOWANI

Going Out In Cracow?

First of all, I'd like to say, that I appreciate every feedback, that I get about my posts. And though I've been quite inactive user in social network "VK" lately, I still get messages, that my posts interest somebody and even inspire sometimes. I already said many-many times, how much this "Soup For Soul" means to me. And I have a little dream to make smth bigger out of it in near future. We'll see, good luck to me :)

On one anonimous request I'm wrirtng this post about places in Cracow, where it's nice and worth spending time and money. Since I moved from Ukraine to Poland, after 2 years here, my lifestyle has changed a little bit and glamorous posh places do not interest me that much any more, - so I warn You - places like that I'm not gonne describe. Moreover, clubs kind-a "Lviv Fashion Club" actually do not exist here :)

Cracow - it's a multicultural, student & youth city, where you can have fun and go out not only during the week-end, but normally 24/7. As every touristic place, as it is, in Cracow city centre every second building is a pub, restaurant or bar. Choosing something is almost impossible (at lest from first sight). Tripadvisor won't help, because as I always repeat to people I know "be a traveler, not a tourist". F*ck these touristic mousetraps.

1. Multu Qlti. Szewska Str, 21.
Multi Qlti on FB 👈 FB fan page

The place for beer-lovers - all different, from all over the world, polish regional kinds of beer as well. My favourite is number 3 from the top. The place is in the very-very city centre, on the side street of the Market Square, which makes it easy to find. A home atmosphere, I love it ❤ 🍻

2.Omerta, Kupa Str., 3.
OMERTA 👈 Web Page

One more place (for me it's #1), where you can find loads of good beer (and note, plase, it's beer only,so this place only for beer-lovers). I'm really devoted to dark sweet beers, so I always grab Irish beer here. I'm drinking it and think - what a great thing life is! Prices are nice (as in any other small Cracow pub) - beer will cost you around 8-10PLN. By the way, do you know a special trait of polish pubs and parties? They don't eat while drinking alcohol. So most likely you won't find anything to chew with a beer. Definitely non-ukrainian style :)

3. Antykafe. Kłubokawiarnia Bez Widoków.  Sławkowska Str. 12.

ANTYKAFE 👈 Web Page

I officially claim, that this is my FAVORITE place in Cracow. I can spend hours and hours here. It's totally "my" place. Here you can find the best atmosphere, the best music and the best people. Prices are not that low, but it's two hundred times woth it. And usually it's better to call them or text e-mail to book a table, because if you come in the evening (especially on the weekend) you have no chance to find free corner.

4. Tak było, Szpitalna Str,9
TAK BYŁO 👈 Web Page

Quit nice place in the City Centre, which, as I think, will be comfortable for everyone. A big plus of this place is that it's opened almost 24/7 - from 8a.m. till 7a.m. - just one hour of break. A kind of place with atmosphere. It's just a right place to hang out with friends, talking about life. Here you can also find a small stage, where they do concerts or stand-ups. For me it's a comfy place, where we  (I mean myself and my friends) usually go, when we don't need fireworks, but rather a calm evening with hot wine or a coctail.

5. Banialuka connecting people :)

I would definitely say, that Banialuka - it's a business card of party Cracow, no comments needed here! Banialuka - it's a place, where people come like cars to a filling station (sorry for comparing, it alrady became my professional habit - talking about filling stations :) And so, Banialuka, with it's shots for 4 PLN and crazy crowdy atmosphere - connecting people. So, if You happen to party here - it's a must-stop and a guarantee of a good night out. Cheers!

6. Cafe Mini, Grodzka Str., 45
CAFE MINI 👈 Fun Page on FB

So, guys, if you (the same as me) belong to that  catogory of people, who think: "better than a chocolate cake can be only two chocolate cakes", then this place is for sure yours! This place is for us! I can't say, that this has anything to do with polsih national kitchen (to tell the truth I can't even tell you, what are the typiacl polish-polish sweets). The only one type of typical polish bakery is a kind of  pretzel, which is being sold all over the Cracow streets by old ladies :) So, let's not talk about polish "cuisine", I just wanna say, that deserts at Cafe Mini are awesome, that's all. In summertime sitting outside with ice-cream desert or in winter - with hot chocalte and a tart, ooooh...

7. Forum, Wistula Shore

FORUM PRZESTRZENIE 👈 Web Page

If you want to ask me, where I'll spend this summer (except for few rare gorgeous days on leave), I'll tell You - at Forum Przestrzenie. This place is like a time machine in real conditions - You enter the territory, take wine/beer/coctail,  find a free sunbed and - you're there, on the vacation. You close your eyes, listen to the sounds of water and simply enjoy your time. Surrounded by great people (a little bit hipster place, which I love, and not only). I don't think, that anywhere in the world there's a place like this for chill out after a hard day in the office... This is why I adore Cracow - city of nice contrasts. Parties there are also cool! Almost like a real beach-party, almoooost...

8. Movida, Ul. Mikołajska
MOVIDA 👈 Web Page

Well, okay, I'll leave a place for a bit glamorous place in this list, let it be... Here you can sing karaoke too! And the coctails are good too. And ok, it's just cool there. Well, to tell the truth, I saw gays a couple of time there (but no, it's not a Blue Oyster bar, no-no-no). This is the right place to go out with girls, with a red lipstick on, wearing new italian shoes :) So, now it's high time to find an occasion to go there :)
